Varicose Veins

Try This Age-Old Remedy Against Varicose Veins

Varicose veins is a vein disease which causes these blood vessels to appear twisted and enlarged. The disease usually affects the legs, although it can occur anywhere on the body. It’s not usually a sign of a bigger problem, but it’s pretty unpleasant from an aesthetic point, which is why women (who are more prone to the disease) want to get rid of them as soon as possible.

The usual cause of varicose veins are genetics, no physical activity, poor diet, age, hormonal imbalance, smoking and circulatory problems, and they usually appear in the late 20s or later. If left untreated, the veins will become even larger and more visible, which can be pretty unpleasant – this is why older women often wear longer skirts. The treatment for varicose veins is either conservative or surgical. New methods include radiofrequency ablation and laser treatments, while in the past, the treatment was confined to wearing compression stockings, lifting the legs when lying down, anti-inflammatory pills or surgery in extreme cases. Luckily, you can reduce the appearance of the veins naturally as well, and we have the perfect remedy for it.

The recipe has been used for centuries against varicose veins and consists of 3 simple ingredients – Aloe gel, ACV and carrots. Here’s how to prepare it:

  • ½ cup carrots
  • ½ cup Aloe gel
  • A bit of apple cider vinegar

Chop the carrot first, then mix everything in a blender until you get a thick consistency. Add some ACV and mix again to water it down and store it in a glass jar. To use the remedy, rub the affected areas on your legs. Lie down on your bed and elevate your legs on a few pillows or something similar, and relax for half an hour. After that, you can wash your legs with lukewarm water. This incredible remedy is pretty powerful, and will provide results after a few uses.

Of course, if you want to completely eliminate your varicose veins, you should also massage your legs in order to boost your blood flow every day and stay physically active. When massaging, use an essential oil like juniper oil to massage your legs gently with your fingers. It’s best to perform the massage while your legs are elevated. Besides juniper, cypress essential oil can help as well as it has the ability to stimulate circulation and reduce fluid retention in your body.
