Why is cayenne pepper so effective for muscle pain and discomfort?

Cayenne pepper’s active ingredient, capsaicin can stimulate the release of the P substance in our body. Why is this substance P so important? Well, this substance is responsible for the release of a number of cytokines in our body which stimulate a healthy inflammatory response and help the body perceive pain.

Moreover, cayenne pepper can help your blood vessels dilate and boost more anti-inflammatory cells to the aching area. Applying cayenne pepper on the painful area regularly will lead to the release and depletion of substance P, which elevates the pain threshold in the area. This occurrence is also known as pain desensitization. The pain in this area is greatly decreased which enables you to do something about it and improve your condition. You can then go to physical therapy, try stretching, exercising or walking to improve your condition. Using cayenne pepper regularly will help you relieve muscle pain, joint pain and help you heal faster from whatever condition is responsible for it.
